It is the strength of this community and network that lies central to our work here at Hub Stockholm, to ensure members gain the most value from the network we cultivate a balanced membership base that contains people working with enterprising solutions that drive social and environmental impacts as well as economic value. The Hub is a space for people driving the social economy and working to create a better world.

We believe in the power of bringing together the most dynamic entrepreneurs and social innovators in order to create a buzzing learning environment where ideas cross-fertilize and find a nourishing ecosystem to come to full fruition. Member Stories

  • Karl Lindqvist, Founder Polstjärna Foundation

My name is Karl Lindqvist and in 2011 I founded the Polstjärna Foundation. The aim is to prevent social exclusion among young people in Sweden. The method is simple: find enthusiasts (eldsjälar) who work for / with young people in the risk zone and have the ability to reach out. We then review them and learn about their needs. Once the screening is over, we start crowd-funding on our website www.polstjarna.se. When the activity they want funding for is completed, all donors receive feedback with the experiences for the participants and a report on how the collected funds have been used. I have worked nearly eleven years in the banking sector and can probably help with a thing or two about banking matters and savings in particular. I am generally curious and an idea generator.
